Claire Forlani was born on July 1st, 1972, in Middlesex, England. Claire began her pursuit of being a performer while attending the Arts Educational School in London for six years. In 1992, Claire made her debut on the small and big screen. She was cast for the British television show Press Gang, along with playing Katarina in the movie Gypsy Eyes. In 1993, Claire and her parents moved to San Francisco. She appeared in the television mini-series JFK: Reckless Youth, and appeared in Police Academy: Mission to Moscow.

In 1995, Claire earned a supporting role in Kevin Smith's Mallrats. The next year, she played Sean's Connery's estranged daughter in The Rock. After sharing the big screen with Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage, she began filming Deep Rising (which later flopped at the box office) in 1997, but walked off the set after three days of filming due to creative differences with the director. In the same year, she began dating John Cusack and also appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair as one of twelve rising stars.
A year later, she co-starred with Brad Pitt in 1998's Meet Joe Black. This has been her most financially successful movie to date. She ended her relationship with John Cusack and began dating Ben Stiller, which lasted until 1999. In 2001, Claire became the new face of L'Oreal, and landed on Stuff and FHM's Sexiest 100 Women lists. Claire has played in eleven movies since 2001, including Going Greek (2001), The Medallion (2003), and The Shadow Dancer (2005). She also appeared on the television show Pentagon Papers in 2003.
